Our Approach

Our Approach

“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?“ ‭‭

Matthew‬ 6:‭25‬

At 6:25 therapy, we believe that it is possible to live a life in spite of Body Image, Anxiety, Depression or Eating Disorder thoughts and not live a life dictated by them.

Jesus tells us not to worry about our life or our bodies…seems simple when He says it. So why is it so hard, day after day, to not worry about those very things? Well, the answer to that question may be a little complex. While the “why” answer may get complicated at times, the “how to” answer starts to get more and more simple when we talk to Him about it.

Our Approach

Our Approach

Our Approach

Our approach is simple (not always easy…but pretty simple). Everything we do either aligns with our values or contradicts them. Once you know what you value (deeply rooted values) then it becomes much easier to challenge the thoughts  and actions in your life that contradict them (i.e  body image, anxiety, depression, eating disorder behaviors, etc.).  Our relationships with our thoughts help dictate our actions (healthy and unhealthy), improve your relationship with your thoughts, and you will very likely improve your unwanted behaviors and personal relationships at the same time.

We pair ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) & the Bible to guide this process.
